He/She?
2008/12/24

A mother with her young boy bumps into an old acquaintance.

Acq: So what's your child's name?

Mother: Ashlee.

Acq: I meant your son.

Mother: Ashlee.

Acq: Oh.

(I put acquaintance instead of friend cause I don't think your friend would ask for the name of your child. Sounds so distant and cold)

Thanks Suz&Aalya who are now tearing it up in Australia&Egypt.
Okay I'm off to do the extreme last-minute Christmas shopping now. Chao chao.
Oh yes, have a blessed Christmas!

Local Bands Aren't That Bad.

I'm proud to say that I've contributed to the collection of WhiteBalls (with well wishing written on them) along Esplanade :) Met up with Grace and we had lunch at Carls Jr. and we caught Yes Man. It was hilarious. Everyone in the cinema was er quite enthusiastic. Haha. Though I felt that Jim Carrey's a little too old to be with Zooey Deschanel. But whatever cause his expressions are so classic. We talked and walked aimlessly (Something I realise I'm getting quite good at, without getting lost) and landed at Marina Square and then Esplanade. We went to the riverside and managed to catch Supernova playing at the outdoors theatre. They are really good. But the crowd sucked. Everyone was dead, no one responded when the lead singer tried to interact with the crowd and the applause was really sad. Then we saw this booth and we managed to get one of those huge white balls you see floating on the SingaporeRiver (looks like pollution).

Bands we heard were awesome.

Patriot at work, yo. (Actually I'm just doodling)

Haha Grace is really proud of her teachers :D

So we sat, drew and watched bands perform. We managed to catch Axecalibur which were REALLY good. They are a little on the hardcore side but if you love rock you'll loove them. The guitar solo is wicked. His fingers were flying up and down the fretboard faster than you can say the word Fast.

Axecalibur. (Picture quality sucks cause I'm using my phone's camera which is nonsense)

The annoying thing was they kept drinking water on stage. I know they're not professional and all but you surely can survive not drinking water for like 45 minutes right? But anyway, they sang a Mr. Big song which was really really really really great. I honestly prefer their version of the song compared to the original one.

MICHELLE! I'M SO SORRY :/

Rapid Rendezvous.
2008/12/18

Gosh it's so windy over here. It's so windy that my innocent sunflower-shaped windmill thing can slice your head off. Seriously.

I'm soo pooped. Extreme last minute Christmas shopping + many overdued outings consecutively = an almost dead me.

Thursday
Japan Media Arts Festival & Bolt (3D!) with Carissa, Gladys, Dawn: I got scolded for taking pictures at 8Q. Haha. The JMAF is really cool. If you missed it, your loss. There are like 3 zones and they are all different. I liked the second one best (: We got to play Wii, Nintendo, PSP and read manga. I liked playing Paper Mario on Wii. The one on the first floor was really cool. There was a house built out of a chalkboard material. They gave us chalk to doodle (i.e. vandalise) :D Annnnd Bolt ROCKS. Don't listen to people who said it was lame or whatnonsense. It was really good. Promise.

Friday
SuYee&ShanYing♥ : Funny thing (or rather strange) happened. SuYee and I met and boarded the train at Raffles City to get to Orchard. And we got off at the wrong station cause the announcements didn't match the actual station. So we got off at Newton -.- Ate at CoffeeClubz. The lasagna is sedap X10000. And I got my guitar back :D It's so nice and bright-sounding now. Yay SweeLee. OH YES, we (or rather they) tried this new (or not so new) ice-cream place along CitiLink. It's called Marvelous Cream or something like that. I can't upload the pictures now cause my phone's sent for servicing. Gonna pick it up today (18/12).

Saturday
HISTORY GROUP OUTING!!! Okay, or rather Suzanna, Aalya &Serene outing. Haha. HueiDeen & Eunice couldn't make it - Penang, church. Fun fun fun fun. Aalya was like an hour late :D Ate at Thai Express (favourite place). And we watched ANGUS, THONGS & PERFECT SNOGGING. Omg, it is HILARIOUS. I love love love love love it. I love Brit movies. So ridiculously funny. And Robbie is fiiiiinnnnneee. I went to Google him but he doesn't look really good in pictures. He looked sooo marvy in the movie. Gosh, my heart melted everytime he comes on. And his cute accent is to die for. Suz and I would go crazy everytime the advert came on for Angus, Thongs on the big screen at Lido (We were at CoffeeBean at Wheelock) and desperately try to spot Robbie. Sorry Aalya. Haha. Aalya then went for her concert thing and Suz and I walked around for like 2HOURS. We talked and walked the whole RafflesCity and then all the way to the end of Suntec and back again. Haha fun fun.

DEASEL: IF YOU'RE READING THIS YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE MOVIE. IT IS AS GOOD AS THE BOOKS!!! (But Massimino isn't in it though)

Sunday
Church and then rendezvous with Audrey :D We shopped and I bought two dresses! Pleased pleased pleased. I was smiling like an idiot. Then, I watched ANGUS... AGAIN! I know I'm crazy but we are avid fans of the books and she wanted to watch it so I gave in to peer pressure (Nah just kidding. I think I just wanted to look at Robbie again). Haha. Omg, there was this group of boys (Like all-boys, I think aged 12-13 watching the show)! I think the show's a little to crude for them. Hilarious. But once again, the theatre for this show was pretty empty cause people don't know how to appreciate this sorta thing.

Monday
After so long, I finally meet up with my cousin Shandy. Love love love. We bought two Waffles series shirts for her boyfriend from Nike. It'll make a really cool Christmas gift. They'd even put the shirts in a waffle box. It's very kewl. Then lunch at Shokudo - pastas and awesome soups! Walked like talked like crazy and watched Twilight! (Sneaks haha) Okay, I was really upset when I found out that they cast Robert Pattinson as Edward but after watching the show, I think he can pull it off. I thought the show was pretty good. The Cullens house was REALLY REALLY nice. And I was really impressed that they kept note of Edward's eye-colour throughout the whole movie cause the only significant part was in the beginning when he first met Bella. But I felt that the movie was a little too rushed? I mean Bella's relationship with Edward advanced too quickly. They were like barely getting to know each other then suddenly they're like I can't live without you. Headed down to Sakae for sushi :) Wore the wrong shoes that day. Blisters-bonanza.

Tuesday
Christmas Shopping + feet (toes) appointment. My mom and I bought so much stuff that I kept banging into people as they walked past me. Annoyance. Hope I didn't break anything. Anyho, I bought new shoes! This one was love at first sight. Justine said my toenails were growing out nicely (YAY) and that this was the last appointment. Sad. I bought her some cheesecake from CoffeBean. I'm gonna miss her a lot. Ahhhh. Had sushi for dinner (AGAIN) cause my mom craved for it and and I no say in the matter. I'm going to stay away from sushi for awhile.
Okay, this post is getting too long. I'm addicted to Sims now. Played it till 4 last night. I played Sims1 (I know I'm really outdated) and it's so easy to make them fall in love and stuff. Plus, in Sims1 they don't get fat if they don't exercise. Haha.

I Love My Brother.
2008/12/12

He (my brother) just bought me dinner without me asking. I was supposed to get my own dinner cause the folks are out, but I was too lazy. So I made Nutelloze (created it maself yo), which hardly qualifies as dinner. So back to the point: ShockSurpriseShock. PLUS, the food actually tastes damn good. WHOA. And he just came back from camp (army). He usually rushes home to bathe and sleep for a gazillion hours. And I checked, my mom didn't force him to buy dinner for me. That's the first reason I came to actually. Touched to the bone.

(Okay, I know you must be thinking: Big deal. Not unless you have a big brother who can be pretty narcissistic at times :D Heh. Anyway, I'm just recording this down for future purposes so that when I feel the urge to kill my brother for snatching the tv remote to watch the damned ESPN and CHANNEL SURF LIKE MAD, I will think back to good times like these. Ahh, sibling love.)

Viva la Vida.

Grooving to: Coldplay!

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sweep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt, pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you know there was never, never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in.
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries Wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can not explain
I know Saint Peter will call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

Hear Jerusalem bells are ringings
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can not explain
I know Saint Peter will call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

(SUYEE: Haha, you were right. I'm too lazy to upload the pictures.)
(Oh yes, I'm really tired and I'm broke :/)

GOOOOOOOOO AWAAAAYYYYYY.

WHY DO I HAVE THESE DAMNED BLOGSHOP PEOPLE TAGGING ON MY BOARD. THIS ISN'T FREE ADVERTISEMENT SPACE. GO AWAY.

The Archibald Family - The Perfect Sims.

(Omg, I just realised I've slept for 13 hours each night for three dayz in a row.)

So, waaaaaay overdue post. This was like supposed to be last week. BBQ at Dawn's place! I reached there like super super super early. The BBQ delivery guy came at like 4 plus. NOT ENOUGH CHARCOAL. Lousy cheapos. There were lotsa flies so we spent alot of the time flapping our arms like chickens :) Check out our muscular arms now - triceps and biceps man. And it just had to rain. Ugh. But it's okay. We were quick-thinking and shifted everything beneath the shelter. Haha.

Then, sleepover at Carissa' place. I love love love Carissa's house. We slept at like 4 plus 5? I think we had too much sugar. We nearly finished a whole packet of marshmellows with fondue. Yum. Carissa and I were the main culprits :) Watched GG with Gladys ♥♥♥ And we created the (almost) PERFECT SIM. HAHA. He's an Archibald. Hey hey.

Oh yes, Carissa bought for us these really cool + cute cookies from Japan. They are called maid cookie(s) :D Thanks Carissa!

Cab Driver from Hell.
2008/12/08

Hello, I'm back (from my holiday). And yes I know I need to update. Anyway, T3 is mighty kewlz. We alighted at A20, like the furthest gate :/ Cab ride home from the airport was a NIGHTMARE.

1) He tailgated like all the way on the expressway. (Now this is not easy cause it’s like 12 midnight and there aren’t many cars for one to tailgate)

2) Drove at 120 for almost the whole journey. Yes, even on normal roads.

3) Has slow reflexes: nearly crashed into another cab at the airport.

I held my breath the entire time. I usually doze off really quickly but I didn’t feel the least bit sleepy (no duh). My trip was okay, nothing really interesting. Bought lotsa cool stuff though :)

Can't wait to go for the...

I know it was out like pretty long ago. But at least I'm gonna catch it before it's over. :D :D :D
